This wooden memorial urn is hand crafted in the USA from premium Black Walnut wood. The Hand Turned Dark Walnut Wood Cremation Urn is carved from one solid piece of wood, plus the lid made from a separate piece. Both the lid and the golden decorative stripe are finished in gold lacquer which provides an illuminous contrast to the darker wood of the walnut urn.
Each walnut wood urn is a one of a kind wood turned memorial, made from start to finish and signed by the artist. The piece is sealed with an advanced urethane finish that conveys the glossy look while enhancing the wood's durability and preserving the urn for ages to come. The lid for the urn can be sealed by placing a bead of silicon adhesive on the inside rim and pressing the lid into place. The wood cremation urn you receive may differ from the one depicted due to natural variations in wood type, color and grain.
All wood used to craft each hand-turned urn comes from walnut trees that have fallen naturally.
Each urn is much like a "thumbprint", no two are alike. Natural occurrences in the wood are not removed such as small markings, spalting, small cracks (that would not effect the functionality or longevity of the product). All the natural qualities of wood that are preserved, make your urn unique, special and truly one of a kind. Since this wood urn is handmade, it may not be available to ship immediately when ordered.
