Engraved photo vs. picture frame
We offer two ways to depict your loved one's photo on a cremation urn. We can laser engrave a portrait onto one of our select wood or granite urns, or we can send you an urn with a frame into which you can place the photo of your choice.
Each option has its advantages. Engraving is permanent and will not warp or fade, but with the picture frames you can change out the photo if you so choose. A laser engraved photo conveys a sense of timelessness and perpetuity which is fitting for a memorial, while a picture frame can display a clearer and more colorful image, which can perhaps feel or look more lifelike and more real. Our engraved photo urns are premium products and our team takes time to make sure everything is just right and personalized for you; the picture frame urns are also made with considerable care and craftsmanship but several are available which carry a more affordable price tag.
