Matte Raku Fired Urn 252
The Matte Raku Fired Urn 252 is a ceramic urn, shaped through the intricate process of raku smoke firing by a skilled artist. Its color is formed by a copper-bearing glaze and reduction firing. The results are quite random, ranging from flashy bright colors to subtle greens and dark blues, as this urn shows. Topped with an ornate lid with brass accents, it makes a truly captivating choice for your loved one's final resting place.
From the Artist: "After firing and cleaning I coat the piece with bees wax or acrylic wax to protect the surface. Horsehair works intended for decorative or dry storage use (ashes). You can care for them as you would fine woodworking. Keep out of extended direct sunlight and DO NOT place water in these vessels as it will ruin the finish."
