Small Faceted Golden Soda-Fired Ceramic Urn

Handcrafted by a talented American ceramic artist, this vibrant cremation urn features a striking six-sided faceted profile raised on sculpted pedestal feet. Crafted from textural stoneware, the vessel is coated in a golden clay slip that responds dramatically to the soda firing process. As intense heat and vaporized soda circulate through the kiln, they leave an organic, fire-flashed surface brimming with rich hues of gold, red, amber, and earthy undertones. 

The domed lid rests atop a 3.5" top opening and is held in place by a dark bamboo securing bar. With a 150 cubic inch interior volume, this urn is sized to hold a portion of an adult's cremains, or might hold the full cremains of a smaller adult. Placement & Filling Guidance:
Due to its handcrafted tapered design, the lower body of the jar expands below the 3.5" top opening to hold more volume. When transferring cremains, gently and patiently guide the bag through the opening, allowing the ashes to settle into the wider bottom space first so the remainder rests comfortably near the top. Once filled, the lid can be replaced and secured with the included bamboo bar. The bamboo bar can simply rest in its fitted eyelets or be permanently set using a small drop of clear epoxy or adhesive.
