Himalayan Rock Salt Cremation Urn for Water Burial
Our Himalayan Rock Salt Cremation Urn is perfect for water burial. The organic salt composition will biodegrade within roughly four hours after the burial urn is placed into the sea, releasing and scattering your loved one's remains in a way that is eco-friendly, sustainable, and symbolically beautiful.
The urn itself is constructed by hand from natural rock salt crystals. Because this is a natural product, there will be minor color, texture, and composition variations. These salt urns are designed specifically for water burial, having holes in the bottom that allow water to seep through so that the urn floats gracefully for a few moments after being placed into the sea and then slowly sinks to the ocean floor to dissolve. Includes a biodegradable plastic bag for holding the remains.

Usage
- Designed for water burial:
- Floats briefly, then sinks
- Holes in the base to aid sinking
- Dissolves within about 4 hours
- Can also be used for ground burial:
- Biodegrades within about 3 months
- To seal: moisten the lip of the lid, then replace - urn will seal itself
Sizing
- Standard sized urn has a capacity of 202 cubic inches (60 for mini)
- Standard urn will hold the equivalent of 202 lbs of body weight (60 for mini)
- To simply calculate the volume of remains, follow this formula:
- One pound of the individual's healthy body weight will require one cubic inch capacity
- A 190 lbs individual will require a capacity of roughly 190 cubic inches
