FAQ
Q: How do I open the urn?
A: The interior of the urn is accessed by taking off the bottom panel. This panel is attached by screws which can be removed using a standard screwdriver.
Q: How do I fill the urn?
A: You will most likely have received the ashes from the crematorium in a simple plastic box. Inside, you'll find that the remains are secured in a plastic bag. After you've removed the bottom panel as described above, simply place the entire plastic bag containing the remains into the urn box. Then re-attach the base using the screws. The plastic bag will keep the remains securely, so you do not need to seal the base. However, if you prefer, you can add a thin bead of sealant such as silicone or wood glue when affixing the base.
Q: How is the urn personalized?
A: When you choose to add an inscription to this item, we will laser engrave the customization directly into the surface of the wooden urn. Laser engraving cuts into the wood, adding depth and contrast which increases visibility while creating a personal memorial with enduring permanence.
