Peace Maple Turned Urn 42

Carefully crafted from Ambrosia Maple, this urn has a stunning shape and form that the artist calls peace. The urn is turned from the end-grain orientation, allowing more of the wood's features to come through in the finished piece, adding a striking contrast in color. The lid is made from Figured Maple and is dyed black with wooden threads for a secure closure. The urn sits atop a beautifully turned Figured Maple base, dyed black to accentuate the figured grain, and permanently attached to form a single piece.

The inside of the urn is hand-painted black to add a finished feel and balance to the piece. The outside has a multi-coat satin urethane finish for durability and longevity and is hand-polished and buffed to a lovely sheen
