Painted Walnut Turned Urn

This exquisite urn, crafted from Walnut Wood, has been shaped with precision. The artist began by sculpting from a piece of reclaimed Walnut, hollowing it to a thickness of about 3/8”. Any imperfections were then stabilized, and the surface was sanded down with great attention to detail. For a distinctive appearance, a fluid art technique was used to pour a blend of liquid acrylic paints, including shades of metallic gold, copper, bronze, and black. After the paint set, the urn was coated with twelve layers of spray lacquer, resulting in a stunning and resilient finish. It also features a threaded lid for secure closure.
