Wood Inlay Art Cremation Urns
The wood inlay art cremation urn series are made in the USA and have become the most popular of all our memorials. These wooden urns have lovely 3-dimensional inlay art scenes created by using laser cut pieces of hardwoods in their natural colors. Browse the designs below for a cremation urn most fitting for your loved one.
Each theme that you see below is available in at least two types of wood (dark walnut or lighter honey-yellow oak), with some also available in mahogany and maple woods.
All of the 3-dimensional designs you see on these wood urns can be made in the companion urn size for two individuals.
Dimensional art cremation urns
We call these wood urns "dimensional art" because that is a fitting description of aesthetic conveyed by these this special memorial product line. Each design is built using layered inlays of real wood, which gives the piece a "3-dimensional" effect, and are further laser carved and assembled much like a jigsaw into beautiful and poignant scenes.
Each composition is made using the natural colors from the various pieces of wood, which are laser etched for fine detail to produce a perfectly integrated work of art. These cremation urns and the stunning scenes are crafted in the USA with pride and superior craftsmanship.
Available wood types
Each of these cremation urns are available in your choice of real, solid wood: the lighter, honey-colored oak; rich and supple dark walnut; or, for most designs, gorgeously smooth white maple.
Here is our popular Hummingbird Urn, in the Ambassador shape, pictured in Oak, Walnut, then Maple:
As you can see, the scene remains the same (white maple and rosewood flowers, rosewood and cherry hummingbird, and natural cherry background) while the wood box can be constructed from your choice of Oak, Walnut, or Maple wood.
Available urn box shapes
Additionally, most of our dimensional art cremation urns can have the inlay scene built into one of several different shapes. We call these shapes the Hampton, the Astoria, the Ambassador, and the Octagon. The Hampton is classically simple, while the Astoria boasts modern lines which angle in towards the top of the urn. The Ambassador shape is often the most popular, with its wavy ornamentation around the base, while the Octagon takes its name from way the corners are designed, giving it eight sides.
