The Biodegradable Shell Water Scattering Urn is made by hand from recycled and eco-friendly materials and biodegrades naturally over time for an earth conscious water burial. The urn includes a custom designed recyclable cardboard carrying case in addition to a water soluble plastic liner which discretely keeps the remains secure during transportation.
These scattering urns are 100% biodegradable, and are engineered to be placed into the ocean and float approximately 5-15 minutes before descending to the ocean floor to disperse the remains as the urn decomposes. Please note that times may vary depending on water conditions, temperature, and the weight of the remains. This water scattering urn can hold the cremated remains of one or two individuals, depending on weight.
Since these Biodegradable Shell Urns are crafted by hand, there will be minor variations in appearance. Most are painted in small batches, often using hand-mixed paint colors so please expect small differences; these variations add to the uniqueness of the memorial. A portion of the proceeds from each urn is donated to the Ocean Conservancy in remembrance of your loved one.

One pound of the individual's healthy body weight will require one cubic inch capacity
A 190 lbs individual will require a capacity of roughly 190 cubic inches
