Both the lid and the black decorative stripe are finished using a lacquer which provides a stunning accent to the lovely grain accents the walnut wood.

The memorial piece is sealed with an advanced urethane finish that conveys the glossy look while enhancing the wood's durability and preserving the urn for ages to come. The lid for the urn can be sealed by placing a bead of silicon adhesive on the inside rim and pressing the lid into place. The wood cremation urn you receive may differ from the one depicted due to natural variations in wood type, color and grain.

The wood used for this hand-turned cremation urn comes from walnut trees that have fallen naturally.

Each urn is much like a "thumbprint", no two are alike. Natural occurrences in the wood are not removed such as small markings, spalting, small cracks (that would not effect the functionality or longevity of the product). All the natural qualities of wood that are preserved, make your urn unique, special and truly one of a kind.
