From the Artist: "After firing and cleaning I coat the piece with bees wax or acrylic wax to protect the surface. Horse hair works intended for decorative or dry storage use (ashes). You can care for them as you would fine woodworking. Keep out of extended direct sunlight and DO NOT place water in these vessels as it will ruin the finish."
